Chord Destiny Power : Episode 19

James::: A man’s character can never leave him. There’s a way that seems right to a man but in the end, it leads to death. Whatever we sow in life, we must reap.
Darlington ::: It’s good to be obedient and listen to our parents instructions. Had it been we were still friends with Joe, we could have been misled by him. Could you remember when we followed him to pluck oranges in the school garden?

James:::: (burst into laughter) That day was a red-letter day. After we were thrashed in the school, my parents nearly killed me with punishment at home. (They burst into boisterous laughter and James shows the scar of the wound) since then, I learnt my lesson.
Darlington::::: Everyman is the architect of his own fortune. Above all, we thank God for our lives today.

James:::: Whatever one puts into life at any time, one must definitely get it back.
Darlington:::::: An adage says, as you lay your bed, so you lie on it… While looking at his watch. Let me be on my way to catch my flight.
James ::: I really appreciate your visit. I will call you as soon as I get back to Zambia the Christian Nation. Did you attend The National day of prayer fasting, forgiveness and reconciliation on 18 October?

Darlington::: yes I did, worshiping God is my priority.
James:::Nice to hear that. I wish you a safe journey.
Darlington::::: Thank you so much my brother.
Mwaba is lavishly celebrating his birthday. People from different countries come to witness the ceremony. He sits on a chair, dressed in an expensive traditional material. Photographers and Camera men are all there to cover the event. Predawn interrogate Mwaba after the ceremony is over.

Pressmen ::: As you celebrate your 60th birthday, how do you feel?
Mwaba ::: (Clearing his throat) I’m exceedingly grateful to be alive to enjoy all the physical and mental benefits this age has conferred on me. For this unique attainment, I direct my profuse and very deep gratitude to God for preserving my life to this day, and for innumerable mercies it has pleased Him to bestow on me all my life.

Pressmen::::: Could you briefly tell us the story of your life..
Mwaba ::::: The story of my life is a lesson to people especially the youth of this generation, and generations to come. My ambition at a tender age was to become a medical doctor. On our way to the university of Excellence for my registration, we had a fatal accident which resulted in the death of my beloved parents. I struggled to raise money to finance myself, but all my efforts proved abortive.

The thought of learning a trade had occupied my mind, but man propose; God dispose. Today, I thank God who has accompanied me and used the family of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent to accomplish my educational desire. My first son, Junior Bwalya is a Medical Practitioner in the United Kingdom. My first daughter, Elizabeth Bwalya is a Nurse in the United States of America. My last born, Muzo Bwalya is a Pharmacist in London and the bone of my bone, the flesh of my flesh, the apple of my eyes, the joy of my heart, the angel of my life, Queen is a Nurse….. (They gave a around of applause)
Pressmen:::: How did you over come these ups and downs?

Mwaba :::: As I was saying, I survived with the help of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent It’s also good for man to value whatever nature has for him. This reminds me of one of our primary school poems which says::: Work is the antidote for poverty, persist with your work my friend. It’s work that makes one to be great. If there’s no one to rely upon, like the indolent we are. If there’s no one to rest upon we face our work squarely.. Your mother may be wealthy, and your father may be rich.. If you rely on them, you are doomed for sure. Whatever we don’t suffer for, hardly lasts long.

It is what we struggle for, that endures. Your handwork is your relative, your shoulder is your sibling. If you are loved today by the people, If you are rich, they will tend to love you once more. And if you are in good position, the world will welcome you with open arms. Then dare become a beggar, you will be despised before the people… Learning makes one to become great, study very hard. If you see many people, joking with learning, Please, don’t imitate them. Poverty awaits the foolish child. Tears awaits a loafer. Don’t play away your youth, my friend. Don’t play away your time, time and tide waits for no man.

Pressmen::::: Wow that’s encouraging sir, but Sir, we get to know that Stella, your Secretary disowned you all through the bad times. Why did you offer her such an important post after she had made life the hell for you?
Do you want to know the reason Stella was employed by Mwaba?
